SAFENOWPROJECT acknowledges the services provided by the Girls and Boys Town, an organization with similar objectives involving the safe-guarding of our youth. Their National Hotline is a 24-hour crisis, resource and referral line providing help, healing and hope.
Trained counselors can respond to your questions every day of the week, 365 days a year. In 2004 alone, more than 510,000 children and families were helped through the Girls and Boys Town national hotline, and over the past decade, more than 6 million callers have found help at the end of the line.
National Neighborhood Watch Program
Learn more about the National Sheriffs' Association's (NSA) crime prevention initiative -- the National Neighborhood Watch Program. The program was developed in response to a multitude of requests from Sheriffs and Police Chiefs around the country. Law enforcement leaders were looking for a crime prevention program which would incorporate citizen involvement, and which would address the increasing number of burglaries taking place, especially in rural and suburban residential areas.
